Greetings, and thank you for the lovely mention of our meeting in Avilion. It too is a place I have fallen in love with, it’s beauty so simple,yet breathtaking. And the people that do reside there are friendly and gracious.
I will try to write more of my adventures in Avilion, as well as reading tales spun by others.
I hope to see you around the Hinterlands again soon!

God yes! SL can get very, very tedious! That is the time to start doing something new for a while - you will come back to what you love in the end, but for now you need the holiday of new experiences.

A great way to start if tele-jumping - just open the maps and randomly double-click until you find something interesting - take one photo in ever location to show your path

I’m going to give it a try. I usually get stuck trying to teleport around the grid, but I do need to find a way out of the rut.

Well said, HBA. We can just leave it at that - “to each their own is good enough for me.” I’m here for both - the roleplay and the real experiences. I sometimes spend more time on one than the other, but I’m having fun with both!

I’m with you.

I don’t use my SL av to ‘escape’ life, rather to have more of it. Oh, at times I log on to escape boredom, sure, but most of the time I log on to be with friends, to have fun… you know, the things I do in RL too

I don’t play being HBA - he is me. If you met me in RL, I’m pretty much the same person. In SL, given a certain sim or situation, I will roleplay, but it’s not really what I’m here for - just as in RL I don’t ‘live roleplay’, in SL I’m not here for western or medieval roleplay.

I have a friend who can not accept SL because she seems to think SL and RL are mutually exclusive - why have a SL when you have a RL? she asks. I can’t even be bothered to try and break down that defensive wall. To each their own is good enough for me in that case
