A favorite talented designer who is also becoming a great friend released the Anastasia gowns this past weekend. I haven’t been seen in anything else since. As usual my snaps aren’t doing these gowns justice, so take a look at Lady Kouse’s own blog for a better view. These sets have 13 pieces! I really appreciate the slim skirt and long sleeves which create my favorite elven look.

The bell shaped ballroom skirts really are a better silouette (slim skirts have tendency to look like they are falling between your rear cheeks in SL), but the slim skirt is still my favorite. The bodice has an intricate embroidered pattern that is repeated in the sleeve and hem of the skirt. The beautiful gem colors just pop. I don’t have to envy the gowns any longer - I have a few different colors in my inventory now!

The really unfortunate thing is, that there is much more spam to come.

Aaaaahhh. Back home to my own blog and my own SL space. I love playing elsewhere, but there really is no place like home - even a virtual one. I have been setting up a new home. I finally decided to do something about the ugly low prim shack after I bought the second little plot, bringing my total land holdings to 1024 sqm! I found a push button easy pre-fab - ridiculously easy -from Sergio Upshaw’s That’s Amore!
This skybox comes complete with furniture already placed and artwork. How is that for ultimate lazy? I should have taken a picture before I replaced and moved furniture around. The freebie black leather couch in front of the fire is my replacement. The furniture set includes a scripted bed and piano. The look of the house is decidedly masculine, but that may be what attracted me. My alternate Elven persona is completely girly. I took this picture when I had the house placed where the other buildings close by could be seen through the windows. I have since moved the house up to a higher position, but I think I may lower it again. You can only see out of the windows, not in, and I think I like the city scraper feel of seeing other buildings around me.

The house is about 54 prims, including fireplace, bookcase and art on the walls. The whole package including furniture, is about 115 prims. Some of the free items that are found around the grid are put into the package for decor. Red roses, and a tropical plant with pot are nice touches and make the house a little more homey. I like the rug and wall textures. The aquarium (more pictures on my flickr page) is a fun addition. The cost was $599L. I am pretty happy with that. I have the skybox on one of my small plots and the other to practice building the fireplace I just learned to build as an exercise in path cuts, hollowing and sculpty prims (Thanks again, Kendall Dagger of Spellbound).

It’s an improvement over the one room, ugly, low prim shack.  I guess I’m moving up slowly in my Second World!

Happy Sweetheart’s Day to all slovers!  I really do have more to say, I just haven’t had time to finish writing. I’m glad that this week is almost over - it hasn’t been fun.

My real life Cajun Redneck Man doesn’t look me up here - but I’m going to blow him a virtual kiss anyway! :*

I’ve been having too much fun editing and putting information up at Avilionorder.com, so I’ve been neglecting the Double Entendre this week.  Nobody is really missing me here - but I just feel like I have to say something!  I will get Avilionorder.com running like a machine in a few weeks.  I have also been neglecting reading all of the great Second Life blogs I’ve acquired in my feed reader over the last few weeks - that is what I really miss. I need to get my fix of perspectives that are different from my own.

I’m just enjoying immersing myself a little more in the magical world that I am priviledged to be a part of.  My only skills are that of observer, reporter and promoter so I have found a place that they can be put to good use in a way that is so much fun for me.
